The work between the work
Epics folded into somebody else’s release, screens argued over for a week, brands built in a weekend. The parts of six years that are real and are not a story with a beginning.
Within work companies
- The AI icon set, Mindtickle. One mark being drawn on the canvas, then the family it has to belong to.
- Add module, Mindtickle. The picker at the head of a training series: ten kinds of module, and the two that practise against an AI put above the eight that do not.
- Selling to nobody, Mindtickle. A rep pitching to an AI prospect over a shared tab, with the parameters they are being scored on sitting beside it.
- Figma in, code out, Mindtickle. A hackathon build at 4x: a Figma file read, JSX written, then the screen it describes standing up in Storybook.
My own work
- Spot drawings, Rark. A sheet of spots, drawn by hand, for the places a screenshot cannot say anything.
- The studio site, Rark. The studio’s own front page, with the client work running behind it.
- The mark and its grid, GetG. The company banner, with the logo’s construction grid left showing under the letterforms.
- Sell, train and onboard faster, GetG. The company page cover, at the one shape LinkedIn allows. 1128 by 191, and the whole pitch has to fit inside it.
- Analysis, on one screen, Agepro. A hundred and eight biomarkers, a biological age, and what to do about it, without a second screen.
- The store listing, Siha. What the app promises before anybody installs it: vitals, the manager you can call, and the medicines being ticked off.
- The way in, GetG. The sign-in screen, and the illustration drawn to sit beside it.
- Find your state, State. The shop in three screens: the menu, the drop, and coffee roasted the morning it ships.
- The scan report, Agepro. The health scan age report, set to be read on paper as readily as on a screen.
- The partner profile, Siha. A trained family partner, with the qualifications and the checks that stand behind the word trained.
- Ananta, on a phone, Rendezvous. A New Year event, from the poster at the top of the page to the form at the end of it.
- Slack, taken apart, GetG. Slack’s AI thread summary, pulled apart into steps you can click through rather than screenshots you cannot.
- Worried about your elders?, Siha. The campaign poster, asking the question the whole company is an answer to.
- The score, in the page, Factmata. An article graded for objectivity where it is being read, with the phrases that moved the number marked in the text.
- The action plan, Agepro. The app reading a result back: what it found, and the three things to do about it.
- The onboarding questions, Agepro. The intake questionnaire, one question at a time.
